Suboptima is a free subscription tracker. It puts every recurring payment in one place, shows what you really spend each month and year, tells you what's about to renew, and suggests where you could save.
It's for anyone who pays for several services, such as streaming, music, AI tools, software and cloud storage, and wants to know the real number and never be surprised by a renewal.
Why we built it
Suboptima started with a simple irritation: a card statement full of recurring charges, half of which nobody could explain. A streaming service. A music app. That AI tool, and the other AI tool. A storage upgrade. A trial that quietly became a paid plan.
Each charge is small, so none of them feels like a decision. Added up, they're a real line in your budget, and most people can't name the total. We wanted a calm place to see it.
What Suboptima does today
Every subscription in one list
Name, price, currency, billing cycle, renewal date, category, the card it's charged to, and a link to its cancel page.
Your real spend
Monthly and yearly totals, a six-month trend, spend by category and by card, and what renews in the next 30 days.
Reminders before you're charged
Emails 7, 3 and 1 days before each renewal, so you have time to cancel.
An AI advisor
Specific suggestions based on the details you entered, like a service you barely use or two that overlap, with what each would save.
Any currency
More than 150 currencies, each shown on its own so totals are never mixed.
Your data stays yours
Export to CSV any time, or delete your account and everything in it from Settings.
How it works
- 1Add your subscriptions: a name, a price, how often it bills, and the next renewal date.
- 2Suboptima totals everything per currency and lists what renews soon.
- 3You get an email in the week before each renewal, and the advisor suggests what to keep, cut or downgrade.
You add subscriptions yourself, so Suboptima never needs access to your bank account or your inbox.
What's next
Suboptima is in beta, so things will keep improving. These are ideas we're exploring, not promises:
- Importing subscriptions from a bank statement file, so you type less.
- Showing how often you actually use each service.
- Sharing a list with family or a partner.
Our promise
No dark patterns, no selling your data, no surprise charges. Your subscription list is yours: export it any time, or delete your account in one step. Suboptima is free during the beta, and if we ever charge, it will be by being worth paying for, not by making it hard to leave.
The AI advisor sends only the subscription details you entered to Google Gemini, never your email address or password. The full detail is in our privacy policy.
